WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

A life changing experience. If you're ready to make the change, they can help. I'm so grateful to the people here, and I'm equally grateful that we were in a position financially to allow me to stay in a private room for 90 days. This level of care should be available to all who need it, not just those who can afford it.

Erik L.Life Changing

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How Long Is Your Addiction Treatment Program?

Affordable, professional 30, 60, 90-day intensive treatment programs are offered by Hope by the Sea, with extended care and sober-living facilities available for any length of stay. During this time, patients undergo detox, evaluation, therapy, and transitional counseling. The length of each patient’s stay depends on several factors, including duration of drug use and extent of substance abuse.

Do You Have A Detox Facility?

Yes, Hope by the Sea can detox from any substance and a typical length of stay in the detox facility is 3– 7 days, depending on the substance. The process is supervised by experienced medical professionals. After the body is cleansed of addictive substances, the rehab process continues with individual counseling, group therapy, twelve-step training, and more.

Will My Family Be Able To Be Involved?

Yes, we believe that family involvement can be a crucial part of recovery. Hope by the Sea has a family group program every Saturday from 9:30am to 11:30am and can also schedule for an individual session with our clinical director. Drug and alcohol rehab often reveals patterns in a patient’s relationships; both patients and family members can benefit from practicing new ways of communicating with each other under the moderation of a trained counselor.

Will I Be Allowed Visitors?

Yes, we allow visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. Visitation is at the discretion of the Hope by the Sea clinical staff. We reserve the right to disallow visitors not healthy to the clients’ recovery.

Are You A Dual Diagnosis Program?

Hope by the Sea is a Dual Diagnosis program. Every client that comes to our facility receives a psychological evaluation to determine any issues. If there are any psychiatric issues determined, we will develop a dual diagnosis treatment plan along with a substance abuse treatment plan that will be individualized for each client. Drug and alcoholism rehab must address psychological issues such as bipolar disorder, manic depression, and other conditions because these illnesses often compound or magnify issues and difficulties that the addict faces.

Do I Receive Individual Therapy?

Yes, you will work one on one with our professionally trained addiction and dual diagnosis treatment team, which includes an Addiction Medicine Specialist, Psychologist, Physician Assistants, RN, Drug and Alcohol Counselors, and Transitional Counselors. To help patients stop patterns of drug and alcohol abuse, our counselors approach addiction from every angle to teach new habits and perspectives on oneself, life and health, loved ones, shame, guilt, and forgiveness.

If You Are In California Why Are You Listed On The East Coast?

Hope by the Sea is a nationally recognized substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment program. We have patients who fly in from all over the United States, Canada, and Europe for our specialized treatment, such as our Christian rehab center. In fact, many Hope by the Sea clients are from out of state and travel to our facility to focus on an uninterrupted recovery outside their day-to-day community. You can find information on the benefits of seeking treatment outside of your hometown or out of state here.

What Airports Can I Fly Into?

Our rehab facilities are located between Los Angeles and San Diego. The closet airport to us is John Wayne (SNA) in Orange County, but we will pick up from Los Angeles (LAX), Long Beach (LGB), Ontario (ONT), and San Diego (SAN). We recommend a direct flight if at all possible.
